WHAT IS MULTI-SLICE CT SCAN ?

A scanner is an X-ray tube allowing the acquisition of images in the form of slices.
Contrary to MRI, the patient is placed in an « open » tube, thus avoiding claustrophobic reactions.
This tube is mobile. The system records successive slices of images, which, once assembled allow a whole volume to be reconstructed.
